Alacer is committed to undertaking its activities in a manner that minimizes the impact of its operations on the environment and ensures the responsible stewardship and on-going management of natural resources.
Alacer is developing its Environmental Management System guided by the principles of ISO 14001, which will apply to all operations to manage environmental performance. The framework introduced across the group during 2012 will provide the building blocks to facilitate the development of a fully functioning system by 2015. Anagold Çöpler received its formal certification to ISO 14001 on 9 of January 2015 following the detailed certification audit conducted by TUV Rhienland ® in December 2014. The certification maintenance audit took place in November 2015 and the certificate was reissued for one more year. The next maintenance audit is planned for November 2016.
Alacer’s Environment Policy sets the standard by which we operate.
Alacer has also developed and is implementing a detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for its Çöpler operation. The Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) within the ESIA integrates the Environmental, Health Safety and Social aspects of the Çöpler Sulfide Expansion Project.
